One unique feature on the Amanti was the row of LED lights on the bumper below the headlamps. These lights functioned as turn signals and were at the time seen only on more expensive luxury vehicles. The sole powerplant offering for the Amanti was a 3.8-liter V6 engine. The Amanti's upscale interior appointments and generous feature list made it a good buy for those who wanted a luxury vehicle without paying a luxury vehicle's price tag. The Amanti's exterior styling drew inspiration from a number of luxury vehicles that were already available in the marketplace, including those from Audi, BMW, Lincoln and a number of other luxury markets. The Amanti featured a pleasant leather-trimmed interior with wood grain accents, establishing its intent as an upscale sedan. Full instrumentation, Infinity audio system with Sirius satellite radio and multi-adjustable driver and passenger power seats with memory settings were available. Safety features included anti-lock brakes, active front headrests, anti-pinch windows that prohibited fingers and other objects from being crushed and side impact air bags for front and rear passengers. Prices for the Kia Amanti started at a manufacturer suggested retail price of just over $26,000, before destination charges and other fees. Incentives were available that helped reduce the retail price somewhat. Production for the Kia Amanti ended sometime in 2010. As of late 2010, the Amanti was removed from the Kia website as a production vehicle. The Kia Cadenza, introduced in 2010 as a 2011 model, succeeded the Amanti in the U.S. market as the flagship of the Kia brand View less | |||
