About the Hyundai GenesisThe Hyundai Genesis is a luxury model sold only as a four-door sedan. The vehicle pairs a front-engine design with rear-wheel drive. Hyundai created the Genesis as one of the company's first premium car models. Although the Genesis has a comfortable interior and powerful engine options at a low price, it lacks an all-wheel drive version. The Genesis has two available trim levels named after their engine displacement. The 3.8 trim has standard 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, and leather upholstery. A Premium package upgrades the wheels to an 18-inch version, uses higher-quality materials for the interior, and installs a Lexicon audio system with fourteen speakers producing surround sound. A Premium Navigation package includes the base Premium package's equipment along with a touchscreen navigation system. The Technology package has HID headlights, Bluetooth capabilities, and the navigation system updates automatically. The 4.6 trim level upgrades the engine to a V8 and installs the Technology package as standard equipment. The Genesis earned the highest ratings for safety from both the NHTSA and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Genesis was given the 2009 North American Car of the Year" award.
