About the Hummer H3TThe Hummer H3T is a four-door, four-wheel drive pickup truck with a five-foot bed and built in storage boxes. The first year for the vehicle's production was 2008. It is the only Hummer vehicle to be sold only as a pickup truck. Another Hummer version, the H2, is sold both as an SUV and with a truck body.Fuel economy is poor for the H3T, with only 13 miles per gallon predicted for city driving and 18 mpg for highway. However, the H3T earned respectable scores for safety, with five stars for driver safety in frontal impacts and rear passenger protection in side impacts. The truck earned four stars for front passenger protection in front impact crashes. The H3T has not changed much in its three years of production. One thing to note, however, is the Hummer brand has changed hands and, after 2011 production, the location of its assembly will change. The truck is a four-speed automatic with seating capacity for five people. Assembled in Shreveport, Louisiana, the H3T is available in several trim packages, including Standard, Adventure, Luxury and Alpha. Cloth and leather trim are both available and multiple colors can be chosen, as well. The vehicle offers significant leg room for rear seat passengers and a comfortable ride. XM radio, a navigation system and a rear view camera are all options available to add to the stock package. The tailgate is removable and the folding rear bench seat has latch child seat anchors. A year of On-Star comes with the vehicle. The Hummer H3T was named Pickup Truck of the Year in 2009 by Four Wheeler Magazine. Most reviews for the 2010 model also agree that no other truck can hold a candle to the Hummer H3T in off-road performance. On-road performance falls short, however, compared to other vehicles; but, with the off-road abilities and the comfort of the interior, this truck has been chosen over other compact mid-size trucks by those who work hard and play harder".
