The S5 Quattro and A5 Coupe were the first models to be released in the US in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Both included a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Additional models were introduced in 2009. All are distinguished by a shift away from Audi's classic overhung engine design and toward a more centered design. The newest models are available with leather interiors. The Aluminum Coupe is especially fuel efficient; its innovative lightweight body being considerably lighter than its steel counterparts.
